Message 1 : Exporters are getting RoDTEP amount indicated in their Shipping Bills. This is only notional and calculated at dummy rate, since the final rates are not notified by the Govt. The actual RoDTEP benefit will be available to the exporters once the rates are notified.       Message 2 : Registration for operating under the New Sea Cargo Manifest and Transhipment Regulations may be taken from the Icegate login by all stakeholders, viz. Sea Carriers and Agents, Transhippers , Custodians and Terminal Operators. Custodians are requested to register on ICEGATE and onboard ICEGATE MFTP for message exchange. For details, pl see step by step advisory Click here.    Message 4 : DGFT has mandated all IEC holders to update their Importer-Exporter Code(IEC) yearly between April to June online at DGFT website. For more details Click here.    Message 5 : In order to provide expedited customs clearance to any COVID related medicaments or equipment's, Trade is advised to kindly provide details in the online form.   Message 6 : ICEGATE Registration and SCMTR registration services will not be available from 1 June 2021 - 7 June 2021, as Income Tax Department is going to launch its new e-filing portal www.incometax.gov.in on 7th June, 2021 which will have impact on PAN Validation Services during this period. Trade users are requested to plan their ICEGATE registration and approval accordingly.

ABOUT ASSOCIATION

MUMBAIZONE Customs Brokers Association was registered in 2012. Mumbaizone Customs Brokers' Association ( MCBA) is born out of a movement. Mumbai is Commercial Capital of India. Mumbai is also known for Gateway to India particularly for Trade to and out of India. Mumbai is also famous for India's premier Port. Earlier Mumbai Port and now Nhava Sheva. Mumbai's Air Port is also India's number one Airport. Despite two major sea Ports and one major Airport in Mumbai, no Customs Brokers License was issued between 1989 and 2011. Customs was issuing Licenses at all Customs formation except Mumbai Zone. Locals were deprived of License but outsiders were allowed to come and work here.

It was finally in the month of Sept, 2010, one Regulation 8 qualified person took a lead and formed an Association called Regulation 8 Association. Regulation 8 Association took up the issue of License issuance with all concerned authorities and got Public Notice issued in 2011. Wait did not end there. Those opposed issuance of License for 22 long years  did everything to hold the movement and went to the extent of  filling writ petition in  Bombay High Court but they could not succeed .

Regulation 8 Association has now been converted to a Customs Brokers' Association under the name and style of MUMBAIZONE CUSTOMS BROKERS' ASSOCIATION  born out of the said  MOVEMENT.

Person who took the lead and all founding members are highly qualified, knowledgeable , experienced and respected persons. Motto of the Association is to give clean , transparent service to Trade and also to make sure that there is no revenue loss. FOR MCBA NATION IS FIRST.

MCBA  dedicates its time and energy for development of CB business, Training, Employment generation, welfare of CB and their Employees, Cost cutting for all Port  and CFS Operation also for Green and Clean Mumbai Airport and Nhava Sea Port area.

MCBA is registered under Trust and Society's Act of India. MCBA working jurisdiction is entre Mumbai Customs Zone.

MCBA is a true Democratic organization and runs by a elected Managing Committee. Term of Managing Committee is 5 years. All decisions of the Association is always taken through well deliberation and consensus, keeping interest of CB, Mumbai and Nation in mind.

MCBA is the hope for all Licensed Customs Brokers. All License Customs Brokers are eligible to become member of the Association. Those who  have passed written examination of Regulation 6 are eligible to become Associate Member.

Seminars, Workshops  and Conferences

MCBA Organizes Seminars, Workshop and Conferences and invites all its members to participate  in seminars, workshops and conferences which are relevant to members and the industry.

MCBA  has Customs Brokers Training Courses for G category examination and also Licensing Exam Review classes. These classes give our members and their employees  an opportunity to review Customs Regulations in preparation for 'G' Category and Customs Broker Examination.

MCBA  holds monthly luncheons or dinners with guest speakers who address a full range of issues of concern to members and the events allow members to interact with each other in furtherance of their business objectives
